Nice festive photos this week. If I remember from my neighbor who has done sailing, each of those little flags means a word about something.

Wow. Those look so cool! My dad and my kids would have loved seeing all those ships with real sails! Haha!

    awesome!
this reminds me of the time I saw all the tall ships in Halifax harbour. what a sight they all were. I even sailed out into the harbour on one of them and it was so thrilling. Some of them were just beautifully made.

(Don’t think my comment came out, so I’ll try again…)

As someone who can hardly master a rubber dinghy I’m always impressed at how sailors were able to master ships such as these!

Great shots too…if I’d have tried I’d only have gotten silhouettes against the sky. Really good!

    I wanna capture sails!

We have many lakes in our area and although from time-to-time we do see sail boats on the water none are as interesting as these. I often think about the Windjammer event in Boothbay Harbor, Maine and would love to see that. It would be so spectacular to photograph something like this!

A busy harbor! I especially like the middle close-up of the masts. Thanks for visiting — I’m glad you liked my butterfly pics. : )
